About

This is a book about adventure. The adventure includes learning, loving and taking risks. It’s about living life in a more robust way.

Patty and Kathy are book group friends who have never travelled together. Our idea is to return to the West of Ireland to explore, paint and write. Hoping to have some transformative experiences, our intention is to be responsive to the Spirit: open and trusting.

The Burren, the limestone kingdom in County Clare; deep and mysterious, Lough Corrib, east of Galway; the rugged, mountainous Conamarra peninsula and prehistoric Newgrange in the Boyne Valley are our geographic destinations. Our experiences of liminal natural spaces, thresholds and lively personal encounters through the lens of ancient Celtic wisdom are our spiritual destinations. We are not disappointed!

These poems, paintings and stories invite you, the reader, to travel along with us, to be inspired and open hearted, hopefully discovering your Celtic soul, too.
